President's Message

Dateline 1/7/2010

Happy New Year! It does not seem possible that it has been 10 years since we were all so worried about Y2K where does the time go?

Speaking of time we are 10 months and counting to the Colorado State Council Meeting in September.  We have a lot of work to do to get ready for the event.  I encourage our new members to get on a committee and help us put on this event.  I am sure that you will find it very rewarding.   If you have any new items that you would like to “regift” please bring them to the next meeting and I will get them ready for the conference for the door prizes.

We have a great line up of speakers and we are trying to hit a variety of topics that will apply to a variety of people as our careers are so varied within the insurance field.  We welcome any suggestions for speakers that you might have.

With the arrival of the New Year, the question always comes up what are your resolutions for this year? I am changing the term to “intentions” for myself as I feel that resolutions is such a harsh term and that if you do not fulfill your resolutions  for whatever reason you have failed.  So in light of that I have made a list of both personal and professional intentions for this year.  My intention for PIWOCS is to make it an organization that people like to be involved with and encourage their friends to attend. BTW they say if you do not write it down that it is not as effective so above is my “intention” in writing.

So the question of the month is what is one of your intentions for this year?  I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our next meeting.

Happy 2010!

Janet
